
Reuben is a professional photographer with a strong foundation in studio photography, known for producing high-quality visual content that elevates clients’ portfolios and helps bring artistic visions to life. Launching his first photography studio in Guangzhou, he quickly gained a reputation for innovative lighting techniques and meticulous attention to detail, earning the trust of clients who sought stunning visual work.
During his academic pursuits at Durham University, Reuben expanded his freelance photography career, completing a wide range of personal commissions and commercial projects. His freelance experience allowed him to develop a diverse portfolio that includes portraiture and editorial work, refining his skills and deepening his artistic expression.
As the lead photographer and curator at PYZ Studio in Shenzhen, Reuben focused on promoting subcultures and the new youth movement within the Greater Bay Area, encompassing Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. He played a key role in organizing and curating exhibitions that celebrated these emerging movements, gaining recognition within the local art community and contributing to shaping the visual narrative of the region’s subcultures.
Currently pursuing an MA in Photography at Brighton University, Reuben continues to explore new artistic horizons. His recent projects reflect his deep engagement with contemporary visual culture and social commentary, pushing the boundaries of photography as both an art form and a powerful tool for cultural expression.
